BOE to Weigh School Repairs, Teacher Transfers
The Board of Education will meet Thursday night for its regular monthly public meeting where a number of items in preparation of the new school year will be addressed.
members will tend to a lengthy agenda of items Thursday night that include school construction plans, policy changes and teacher transfers.
Among the agenda items is a resolution to approve contracts for emergency work to replace the ceilings in six classrooms at which had partially collapsed at the end of the school year.
The board is also expected to approve transfers of nine educational staff members within the district for the new school year.

Policy changes involving grading, elections, terms of office, the use of social networking and use of computers will also come before the board.

The public meeting will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday in the high school/middle school media center.
