Euclid Parent Helps School Build Classroom Library

Euclid School is building up its classroom libraries thanks to the generous donation of one parent.

Principal Michael Sickels was joined by Board of Education members Thursday in recognizing parent Michael Stefanowski of Lukach Interiors, Inc. for his donation of nine shelving units he built for the school.

Sickels said the school is taking in donated books to build up libraries in the classrooms which will be used in reading workshop which is a component of a balanced approach to literacy the school is working into its curriculum.

The school needed a place to store these books and Stefanowski came to its aid by offering to help the school community. The carts are on wheels and therefore can be moved from classroom to classroom fulfilling the needs of multiple classes, said Sickels.

Stefanowski has two children in the school system - one son in the sixth and another in the fourth at Euclid School.
