Heights Board of Ed Trustees to be Sworn in Thursday

The Board of Education will conduct its annual reorganization meeting on Thursday, Jan. 3.

The Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education will get started with 2013 business on Thursday night by swearing in three trustees to new terms.

Longtime Board of Education trustee Constance Doheny will be sworn in to her third term on the Board. Mark Stefanelli will begin his first full-three year term as he had been appointed at the end of 2010 to finish out an unexpired term.

A new face will join the board as Robert LaMorte will be sworn in to his first term on the Heights Board of Education.

There was no contest for the three available seats on the Heights Board of Education in the first-ever November Board election.

Longtime Board member and most recent president Josephine Cioccia chose not to run for re-election. She was honored by the Board last month.

Board of Education trustees are expected to elect a new president for the 2013-2014 school year on Thursday night.

The meeting is set for Thursday, Jan 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the high school media center.
