The Hasbrouck Heights parent-led group, Collaborative Parents Committee, for parents of children with special needs, invites all to join them for a special informative session Tuesday featuring a guest speaker from the Family Support Center of New Jersey.

The meeting will be held at  7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the high school media center. Ramona Carmecia from the Family Support Center of NJ will be the guest speaker. The FSCNJ is a clearinghouse of up-to-date information on national, state and local family support programs and services.

Collaborative Parents Committee was recently formed to bring together parents of students with special needs with the goal of working to support each other while sharing ideas and resources, as they see their children through their journeys.

The group meets monthly, except for December and the summer months. The next meeting is set for Jan. 15.
