Heights Community Celebrates its Super Bowl Champs

Proud parents cheered as their young athletes names were called one by one to receive a certificate honoring them as a member of their championship Junior Football team.

Hasbrouck Heights mayor and council honored all the members of the Junior Football Raiders and Mighty Mites who won the 2012 Meadowlands Super Bowl Championship.

Raiders Head Coach Joe Fadden said completing the season 11-0 was a tremendous feat and he was very proud of all the hard work they did towards their accomplishment.

Members of the Mighty Mites team are: Caden DeRosa, Owen Williamson, Andrew Parente, Jack Baker, Evan Werner, Shane Ike, Chase Alvarez, Anthony Grasso, Isaiah Appredondo, Anthony DiLascio, Max Castro, Roman Eschert, Kyle Cappadona, Michael Canavatchel and Jacy Grayon-Westfield.

Coaches for the Mighty Mites are: Pat Campen, Fred Freschi, Steve Condal and Jeff Werner.

Members of the Raiders team are: Niko Tsiolas, Steven Faussette, Christopher Condon, Robert Boscarino, Daniel Viola, Travis Lee, Nicholas Cuccio, Colin Polakowski, Jake Diaz, Cole Sonzogni, Anthony Moretto, Justin Wexler, Trey Armonaitis, Salvatore Grasso, Kevin Campen, Justin Torres, Rocco Minichillo, David Morgan, Joseph Delfino, Frank Iurato, Joseph Duffy, Adrian Mercado, Liam Schaffer, Blake Freschi, Hunter Freschi, Angelo Licini and Bryan Formisano.

Along with Head Coach Joe Fadden, assistant coaches are Jesse D'Amore, Rich Delfino, Tim McGuire, Craig Meyer and Jack Vogt. The Raiders also acknowledged Team Mom, Carina Duffy.
