Heights Native Bill Parcells Enters Pro Football Hall of Fame
The former NFL coach grew up in Heights and went on to play high school football at River Dell High School.
Bill Parcells will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend.
The acclaimed longtime NFL coach who grew up in Hasbrouck Heights and was a star football player for River Dell High School, will join six other members of the Class of 2013 on Saturday, Aug. 3 for the induction ceremony.
Parcells was born in Englewood and was then raised in Heights before moving to Oradell where he played for the River Dell Golden Hawks.
Parcells coached the New York Giants, bringing them to Super Bowl victory two times. He's also coached the New England Patriots, the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys in his career.
