Help Give Sight to Others by Donating Old Eyeglasses, Jewelry

Junior Women's Club teams up with Heights Eye Center to collect old eyewear and other items to benefit New Eyes for the Needy.

As a special service project, the Hasbrouck Heights Junior Women’s Club, in cooperation with Heights Eye Center, will be collecting used eyeglasses, jewelry and hearing aids at selected locations in the area during the months of March and April.

The donated glasses and other items will be sent to New Eyes for the Needy, a New Jersey-based, non-profit volunteer organization whose main purpose is to provide better vision to the poor in the United States and throughout the world.

Containers where the public is urged to drop off their old glasses will belocated at Heights Eye Center (227 ½ Boulevard)  or the municipal building (320 Boulevard). Items that can be donated include: eyeglasses, reading glasses and sunglasses; estate or costume jewelry; watches; and hearing aids.
