New Student Orientation, Back to School News This Week

Coming up this week on Patch 

It's the last full week of summer vacation as the new school year will begin next week in Hasbrouck Heights. 

The district's schools have new student orientation events planned for this week. As per the district's website the schedule is as follows: 

Lincoln Elementary School new student orientation is set for Tuesday, August 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. 

Euclid Elementary School orientation is set for Wednesday, August 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. 

Hasbrouck Heights Middle School orientation will be held for parents and students entering grade 6 on Wednesday, August 28 at 6 p.m. 

High school orientation for students entering grade 9 is set for the same night at 7:15 p.m. 

Also this week:

  • Hasbrouck Heights' mayor and council meets Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. The governing body is expected to take the first steps towards road repaving work and other municipal projects. Stay tuned for more information about the meeting once the agenda becomes available. 
  • Corpus Christi School welcomes a new principal this year. Look out for a feature on  John A. Taormina later this week.
  • The Hasbrouck Heights High School marching band is gearing up for the new school year and upcoming games and competitions. Patch will have a feature on the band this week.
