Want to Make $6,500 a Night in Hasbrouck Heights?

Several local homeowners are hoping to make big bucks by renting out their houses to Super Bowl XLVIII fans.

Proximity is everything, particularly where the Super Bowl is concerned for fans with tickets to the February game. Some homeowners are looking to make some major change by enticing Super Bowl fans into renting their homes for thousands of dollars a night.

The seven-minute drive from Hasbrouck Heights to East Rutherford where the MetLife Stadium is located makes the town a prime selling point. According to Super Bowl Rentalz, a website that advertises homes available for rent, four Hasbrouck Heights homeowners are willing to vacate the premises in the hope of big bucks.

Some of the houses are seemingly modest for the prices being asked. A Burr Place resident is willing to give up his 3-bedroom, one-bath Cape Cod cottage for a mere $2,000 a night.

But truly the Super Bowl of Hasbrouck Heights rentals is a Stanley Avenue home that's up for grabs for $6,500 a night. The house boasts 4,500 square feet on two floors, including four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The 2,500 square foot basement is a true man cave.  It's decorated with a "150 inch Movie Theater, a full bar and a pool table," the homeowner said on the site.

The Stanley Avenue home been listed on Super Bowl Rentalz for a month - so far, with no takers.
