A family argument led to the murder of a Deptford man early Friday morning, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Chad Gatewood, 45, and his nephew, Elijah P. Gatewood-Gabriel, 20, allegedly got in a confrontation around midnight, when Gatewood stabbed Gatewood-Gabriel multiple times with a kitchen knife in the family's apartment, GCPO spokesman Bernie Weisenfeld said. Tax collections in New Jersey are running $230 million behind Gov. Chris Christie's projections after April revenue came up short, according to a state Treasury report released Tuesday. If the trend continues, Christie and lawmakers may have to revise their plans to cut taxes, or they may have to find other places to trim the budget. [Inquirer] Princeton …

Surrounded by friends, family and community leaders, the volunteer members of the Hasbrouck Heights Fire and EMS department proudly stood in front of the equipment that they use to keep their neighbors safe as they took part in their annual inspection. Fans Flocked to Heights to Meet Real Housewives' Kathy Wakile

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star came to Heights Beer & Wine Emporium to sign copies of her new Red Velvet Cosmo on Saturday.

Fans came from all over the area, even as far as Brooklyn, to meet Real Housewives of New Jersey star Kathy Wakile who was at Heights Beer & Wine Emporium Saturday afternoon to sign bottles of her new Red Velvet Cosmo. The star spent time interacting with each fan, signing autographs and posing for photos.  Fans were excited to also meet Kathy’s husband Richie and cousin Rosie who also appear on the show. One couple came all the way from Brooklyn to meet Wakile. Millie Arlistico and her husband said they were in the area visiting and while they were here came out to meet the Real Housewives star. Hasbrouck Heights Police will begin to shut down part of the Boulevard from Raymond to Washington Place at 7 a.m. Sunday to prepare for the fourth annual street fair event. The fourth annual Hasbrouck Heights Street Fair takes places from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the Boulevard between Raymond and Washington Place. Once again the street fair promises a full day of family fun complete with food, rides, games, live entertainment. As always local businesses are a featured part of this event. River Vale Farmers Market Named Top Choice

The River Vale Farmers Market received the most votes in this week's Readers' Choice poll.

The votes are in and the readers have chosen the River Vale Farmers Market as its top choice for favorite farmers market in North Jersey. The River Vale Farmer’s Market runs on Thursdays from late June through October at the River Vale Town Hall Complex parking lot next to the tennis courts. Some of its main features include two fresh fruit and vegetable stands, a handmade wine stand with tastings. On the heels of the U.S. Justice Department issuing its first indictment under the hate crimes protection law afforded by the Matthew Shepard Act, the Bergen County Players (BCP) is proud to present a limited engagement of The Laramie Project, written by Moisés Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project. Chic Charity Club hosted its second annual Spring Fling Ladies Night Out which benefited the March of Dimes.

It truly was ladies night out. Once again the Chic Charity Club put together a night complete with everything ladies would ever want and need for its second annual Spring Fling Ladies Night Out benefit event held at the Landmark in East Rutherford. A night full of shopping, martinis, manicures and more benefited the March of Dimes, the charity of choice for this year's event. A large selection of items were for sale from various vendors offering jewelry, make-up, clothing, accessories. Ladies could sample items like Tender Luvin' Cupcakes and Dove Chocolate Discoveries.
