Crosswalk Construction Continues Along Boulevard
New crosswalks were put in at the Boulevard intersections of Hamilton and Franklin on Monday.
Construction has resumed along the Boulevard as work to install brand new crosswalks at some of the intersections began Monday. The work is part of the borough's ongoing Boulevard revitalization project. The finishing touches are being put in to the new crosswalks at Hamilton, Franklin and Jefferson this week. Motorists should take note of some minor detours during this time as police had the Boulevard shut between Hamilton and Franklin most of the day Monday as workers finished installating crosswalks at those two intersections. The areas were paved with blacktop about two weeks ago and now workers are covering it with a thermoplastic material that is then molded and shaped to resemble bricks. You can contact the DPW to make sure your street is on the list of roads that needs to be repaved. Each the borough has been repaving a handful of streets from a growing list that have been deemed in need. It's possible your street may already be on the list. more ›
