Heights Board of Ed to Honor Outgoing President, Coach, Students Thursday

Meeting will be held in the middle school/high school media center

Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education will spend a portion of Thursday night's regular public meeting to honor the contributions of several members of the school community. Outgoing Board of Education President Josephine Ciocia will be recognized for her years of service to the board. Ciocia, an educator in the Little Ferry school district, announced earlier this year she would not pursue re-election to the board. She has served two terms and has been president for the past year. The Board of Education will host its reorganization meeting on Thursday, Jan. 3 where trustee Constance Doheny will be sworn into a third term, trustee Mark Stefanelli to his first full term and Robert M. Coach Delcalzo Gets 200th Win

The long time coach of the Hasbrouck Heights High School football team celebrated his 200th win on Friday.

Friday night Coach Nick Delcalzo reached a major achievement in his coaching career. The Aviator's win against North Arlington High School marked the 200th win for the veteran football coach.  A former Aviator himself, Delcalzo has been coaching the Hasbrouck Heights High School football team for the past 27 years. With this huge milestone under his belt, he tells NorthJersey.com he is now anxious for the next 100 wins.
