Fundraiser event benefits the library and its programs
The Friends of the Hasbrouck Heights Library invite the community to join them Friday, April 5 for an evening of "Just Desserts." The event will be held at the library from 7 to 9p.m. and will feature an array of desserts which can be enjoyed with coffee or tea. Tickets cost $12 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under. Hasbrouck Heights Friends of the Library once again host Chinese New Year luncheon fundraiser.
The Hasbrouck Heights Friends of the Library are once again hosting a Chinese New Year celebration this month, a fundraiser for the organization which regularly supports programs and provides assistance to the borough's public library. The luncheon event is set for Sunday, Feb. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Asian Grill Restaurant located on Route 17 North in East Rutherford. Tickets, which cost $39, must be purchased in advance as tickets will not be sold at the door. Cost includes price of meal, soft drinks, gratuity and helps support the Friends of the Library.
Friends of the Hasbrouck Heights Library continues its Merchant Series profiling Beast one of the newer businesses on the Boulevard which participates in its Merchants Program, which helps the Friends support the library programs.
By purchasing tickets through the Friends of the Library, supporters can enjoy discounts at the department store.
Support the Friends of the Hasbrouck Heights Library by shopping for the latest fashions at Lord & Taylor’s shopping event. Purchase a $5 ticket from the Friends and enjoy special discounts Thursday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Lord & Taylor located at the Fashion Center, Rt. 17N in Ridgewood. The Friends of the Library financially supports programs at the library and also works to provide special services and assist with library staff development. The Friends of the Hasbrouck Heights Library continuously work to support the public library and therefore the community since it was first formed more than 30 years ago. Throughout the year the Friends hold fundraisers, such as the Book and Bake Sale which is held both in the spring and fall, which enables them to financially support all programs at the library. Whether it’s providing refreshments for a movie screening, afterschool event, or prizes for Book Bingo and other fun activities, the Friends are always on hand at events.
