Heights Board of Ed to Honor Outgoing President, Coach, Students Thursday

Meeting will be held in the middle school/high school media center

Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education will spend a portion of Thursday night's regular public meeting to honor the contributions of several members of the school community. Outgoing Board of Education President Josephine Ciocia will be recognized for her years of service to the board. Ciocia, an educator in the Little Ferry school district, announced earlier this year she would not pursue re-election to the board. She has served two terms and has been president for the past year. The Board of Education will host its reorganization meeting on Thursday, Jan. 3 where trustee Constance Doheny will be sworn into a third term, trustee Mark Stefanelli to his first full term and Robert M. Aviators Collect Donations For Moonachie/Little Ferry Flood Victims

Cash donations will be accepted at the home game Thursday against Pompton Lakes.

Hasbrouck Heights High School Aviators are working to help the people in Moonachie and Little Ferry who were effected by Hurricane Sandy. In lieu of admission to this Thursday's home football game against Pompton Lakes, the Aviators will take cash donations which will be donated to Hurricane Relief for Moonachie and Little Ferry, says Athletic Director Mike Scuilla. The game will begin at 7p.m Thursday, Nov 8 weather permitting at Depken Field.
