Dr. Mussarat Pathan and the rest of the Heights Dental staff welcomed the community in to see their brand new dental facility Saturday as they celebrated its official grand opening. Dr. Pathan, a longtime resident of the borough, has been practicing dentistry for a number of years with a practice in upstate New York. Now she and her family have responded to the need for a state-of-the-art facility here in the borough by opening Heights Dental. Mayor Rose Heck and Council President Pamela Link joined the Pathan family in a ribbon cutting ceremony officially marking the grand opening. UPDATE 12 P.M. - Saturday will mark day six of no power, heat and hot water for many Hasbrouck Heights residents as power has yet to be restored in many parts of town. Some businesses in town have been opening their doors to help their neighbors out during these hard times. Meadowlands Nissan on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights invites residents to come in and use the dealership as a charging station for cell phones, laptop and tablets. The dealership is also offering residents their free WiFi and to visit their customer lounge as a place to warm up, watch some TV and drink some hot coffee.
