Rinke Named New Heights Board of Education President

Three Board of Ed trustees were sworn in Thursday night and new president and vice president elected.

Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education elected a new President and swore in its newest trustees at the annual reorganization meeting Thursday. Board of Education trustee Joseph Rinke was voted as the new President for the new year. Rinke formerly served as vice president. Board trustee Lillian Romano has been voted as the new vice president. Constance Doheny was sworn into a third term on the Board of Education along with trustee Mark Stefanelli who was sworn in to his first full three-year term and Robert LaMorte who was sworn into his first term. Former Board of Education President Josephine Ciocia, who did not seek re-election, congratulated Rinke and Romano while sitting in the audience for the first time in six years. This past year …

What a joke. Isn't Rink the guy who had that mother arrested at Back to School Night a few years ago. The Mother who was complaining that the school board wasn't doing anything to address the bullying taking place in the middle school? The mother who was eventually found not guilty. Lipari, Semenecz to be Sworn in Tuesday

Hasbrouck Heights conducts its annual reorganization meeting Tuesday, Jan. 1 starting at 11:45 a.m.

Hasbrouck Heights will begin business for the new year by swearing in re-elected Republican Councilman Russell Lipari and Democrat Christian Semenecz, a former councilman, on New Year's Day. The annual reorganization meeting will begin at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1 in council chambers at Borough Hall. Lipari will be sworn in to his second term by Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan. Semenecz will be sworn in by Congressman Bill Pascrell. The reorganization meeting will also include appointments for the new year and the 2012 annual report presented by Mayor Rose Heck and council persons.
