Heights Scouts Volunteer to Help Feed Sandy Victims
Scout troops helped pack baskets of food as part of the Meadowlands Basket Brigade efforts to feed families in Little Ferry affected by Superstorm Sandy.
Hasbrouck Heights Boy Scout Troop 17 were among the many local scouts who volunteered to help in the Meadowlands Basket Brigade helping to pack baskets of food for families in Little Ferry and Moonachie affected by Superstorm Sandy. The Meadowlands Regional Chamber and its Building & Contractor Services Committee is partnered with Overhead Door Company of the Meadowlands and local Boy Scout troops to bring home an international movement to feed families in need for the New Year holiday. With help from the local business communities more than $15,000 was raised.
