Heights Students Honor Dr. King By Serving Others
High School Multicultural Club celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday by teaching their younger peers about his message.
Every year the high school's multicultural club students work together to celebrate and live out the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King. This year the students focused their efforts on spreading the message of Dr. King with their younger peers visiting the students at both Euclid and Lincoln schools, talking to them about the importance of celebrating diversity and how his work has made the world a better a place. Although Martin Luther King Day is observed on Monday, Jan. 21 his actual birthday is Jan. 15 and the students decided to spend Tuesday honoring his message, said teacher Lauren Czekaj, the club's advisor.
