Special Needs Recreation Programs Developed for Heights Youth

Recreation department teamed up with the borough's Community Awareness Access for All to offer year-long program for children with physical and learning disabilities.

A Special Needs Recreation Program will make its debut next month offering a list of indoor and outdoor activities designed for resident children with special needs. Robert Brady, director of Hasbrouck Heights Recreation Department, says the department worked in conjunction with the borough’s Community Awareness Access for All Committee to put this program together. “Our goal is to provide positive recreational and social experiences for all of our participants,” said Brady.  The program is available to children ages 5 to 21 who have a physical or learning disability.
