Marybeth Barrios is Heights Police Chief for a Day

Youngster spent all day Friday taking on the duties of the "chief" with Police Chief Michael Colaneri.

Little 6-year-old Marybeth Barrios proudly sported her police uniform as she walked into Borough Hall Friday morning all ready to be sworn in as "Police Chief for a Day."

Barrios got to spend all day with Hasbrouck Heights Police Chief Michael Colaneri and Lieutenant Joseph Rinke who showed her around police headquarters, letting her talk to officers on the police radio and sit at the chief's desk. They even made a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts for some strawberry donuts, said the Chief.

Marybeth's mother Trisha held the Bible as Mayor Rose Heck administered the oath of office to the young chief.
